Happy new year technologists. In our last blog post, we spoke about ‘More Action, Less Talk’ – when it comes to companies claiming they support diversity. We also shared how we were taking action by creating CodeScape through our merger with Mindscape.
Another lockdown went by and we realised it would be stingy to create an upskilling platform for just the Code Untapped Community. There had to be a faster and more fun way to un-tap all that diverse talent lying within every single person across the globe.
So we reached out to fellow technologists. A couple of zoom calls later, we found out that a lot of organisations share our vision for a diverse future and want to work with us in accelerating it. So we have started partnering with everyone who’s ‘More Action, Less Talk’ and are proud to announce one of our first partners ‘Coding Black Females’. Their members will be part of the first lucky few to take CodeScape for a spin.

Coding Black Females is the largest network of black female developers in the UK. Established in 2017, they are a non-profit organisation with the aim to grow and inspire the community of black female developers.
They have regular meetups to provide a safe space to learn, discuss, network, share knowledge and showcase their talents. They want their members at the beginning of their careers to see that the tech industry is accessible, whilst enabling experienced members to share their knowledge, use their skills, and provide support/mentorship to other members of the community.
Now that’s what I call ‘More Action, Less Talk’.
